Male Menopause-Do Men have Night Sweats?

First let’s define what male menopause is. It is something that men have been experiencing for years but it was something that was rarely expressed. It has always been established as something that only women went through. However, that is not true. It involves a hormonal, mental and chemical change during the ages of 40 and 55.

More recently, men have been speaking out about the symptoms that come with menopause to raise the awareness to men and women.
Male menopause comes with some of the same symptoms that women experience such as night sweats. Because of that the answer is yes. But to explain the night sweats in men are considered to be severe hot flashes that will take place in the night. They will do the same form of interruption of sleep just as it does with women.
They are caused by the malfunctioning hypothalamus (your temperature system in the brain). There are other causes for men having night sweats with male menopause.
·         Low Testosterone Level
·         High Cortisol (Stress)
·         Unhealthy Diet
·         Poor Fitness
To gain the control with your male menopause night sweats, there are solutions that can help. First it is important that you speak with your medical provider and make him/her aware of all the symptoms that you are having. Then it can be suggested that you put your lifestyle in check by correcting your diet, get a proper exercise program, and avoid stressful situations.
Making these changes will help you to be able to balance your hormone levels. This is only a start.
