Menopause and Hot Flashes-Can acupuncture help hot flashes?

Have you thought about having acupuncture treatment for your hot flashes?

When you have discovered that you are in full blown menopause, you will resort to a number of different treatments to relieve yourself of your most uncomfortable feelings.

However, I must must say that this method of treatment never came to my mind. The thought of needles being poked in parts of my body I could not begin to think of it not hurting. So with that being said I don’t have anything else to say on that.

But what I can tell you is that researchers in Turkey, have found that levels of estrogen and other hormones were measured before the study and after the first and last acupuncture sessions . There are two kinds of acupuncture treatments: (1) the traditional (2) the “sham” this treatment is needles that are blunt and they don’t penetrate the skin.

I encourage you to watch this short video perhaps it can give you a clearer understanding as to what acupuncture is and how it will work for your condition. You will also be able to draw a conclusion if you want to subject yourself to this type of treatment.

Basic information on acupuncture

To conclude this subject it has been said that researchers say reduced levels of hot flashes in woman who are in menopause and suffers with hot flashes due to having the acupuncture treatments done.

I hope this information will help you to seek out more research to aide you in making a decision about having an acupuncture treatment performed.
