Menopause and Hot Flashes-Can acupuncture help hot flashes?

Have you thought about having acupuncture treatment for your hot flashes?

When you have discovered that you are in full blown menopause, you will resort to a number of different treatments to relieve yourself of your most uncomfortable feelings.

However, I must must say that this method of treatment never came to my mind. The thought of needles being poked in parts of my body I could not begin to think of it not hurting. So with that being said I don’t have anything else to say on that.

But what I can tell you is that researchers in Turkey, have found that levels of estrogen and other hormones were measured before the study and after the first and last acupuncture sessions . There are two kinds of acupuncture treatments: (1) the traditional (2) the “sham” this treatment is needles that are blunt and they don’t penetrate the skin.

I encourage you to watch this short video perhaps it can give you a clearer understanding as to what acupuncture is and how it will work for your condition. You will also be able to draw a conclusion if you want to subject yourself to this type of treatment.

Basic information on acupuncture

To conclude this subject it has been said that researchers say reduced levels of hot flashes in woman who are in menopause and suffers with hot flashes due to having the acupuncture treatments done.

I hope this information will help you to seek out more research to aide you in making a decision about having an acupuncture treatment performed.

Menopause Depression- Why am I so sad?

Am I just a sensitive person?

As I came into full blown menopause, I was in a sad and bad mood more than often. At first I thought it was just learning of myself as a real sensitive person. But as I went through this “change of life” and discussing this with my doctor I found out that it had to do with my menopause.

The change of my emotional level was due to the change in my hormones. I was in depression with my menopause. Then I had to think of me not getting good sleep with these changes. I began to understand more why I would be so exhausted when I would wake up from my sleep. I was very irritable and anxious. I realized that it is hard to be positive and carry on with your daily task when your body is craving sleep and you are having these emotional roller coaster rides.

I needed a new attitude

I was relieved to know that after talking to my doctor, that it wasn’t just me! I began to look at middle age changes with the mindset of realizing that I am getting older. I had to stand toe-to-toe with this fact. It took a lot of soul searching and a honest look at how I felt about being middle age.All I know is that this is going to be and is a time in my life that is full of possibilities and it is what it is! It is all apart of the process.

Menopause and Hot Flashes-Breast Cancer and Menopause

How bad is it for a woman to know she has breast cancer?

Menopause alone is a very scary thing for a woman to face in her mid life age. But to add to that is for her to be told that she has breast cancer. She is really getting double for her trouble! Women, are already mentally, emotionally and physically drained just from the “change of life” process.

However, menopause itself is not associated with an increase risk of developing cancer. There are various drugs that can increase or even decrease the risk of cancer. With this being said it is advised that you consult with your doctor to avoid these risk and to at least be made aware of what they are to better understand your severity of menopause and hot flashes.

Watch this video to understand how breast cancer ties into menopause:

A brief understanding of breast cancer and menopause.

The video has given you a more clearer understanding of what and how breast cancer is linked to menopause. Women are told to have a yearly mammogram done however, it will not detect all breast cancers, this is why doing a self breast examine is important.
I hope this information has added some comfort to your experience in becoming aware of breast cancer and menopause .
