Menopause and Gallstones-How to avoid them


Menopause has many symptoms that come with it. There are some that are common and then there are those not so common. 
When it comes to Menopause and Gallstones there is some basic information to know about. Let’s define it first. Gallstones are rock like deposits inside the gallbladder that will occur in one out of five women by the age of 60, which by the way is twice as often as they affect men.
There are many concerns to know about menopause and gallstones and  how they will effect you.
  • How they work- The gallbladder is a collection pouch that accumulates green bile fluid as it drains from the liver.
  • Diagnosis- An X-ray will usually not be detect the gallstones, but they can be seen on an ultrasound or CT scan.
  • Medical problem-You will experience pain from the gallstones when the muscle walls of the gallbladder contract to help empty bile into the intestines.
Then there is the last resort to have surgery done. When you are at this point surgical removal is a must. Your hospital stay is one night. This is so that the doctors can observe any complications that may occur after the surgery. But the most important thing is to stay out of the operating room.

  • Lessen your sugar intake

When using a douching method buy a quart of buttermilk from you local supermarket, fill your douche bag with buttermilk and complete your douche as normal. Also when you just need to do a douche without a yeast infection use plain water oppose to buying any of the over the counter products. Keep in mind that water is a neutralizer in itself.
