Age of Menopause- When does it happen?

Can you experience menopause at an usual age?

Do you know what menopause is? Let me give you a brief yet simple description of what it is. Menopause is a natural process that women will experience at their mid age. It will come upon women they have a disappearance of a menstrual period for 12 months. Read more detailed information here.

Now from my own personal experience I went through the stage of menopause at a very early age and I had no clue as to what was going on with me. I knew one thing that body was going through some different functions that were very different. Read my story.

We know that every woman has different body chemistry. Women will experience menopause in her own and unique way. Then there are some who will not go through it at all! My hats go off to those women. Even though we know it is a natural process, the process it’s self is very disturbing. Then there is that thought of when to expect to go through it. The average age of menopause is about 52 years old. Yes, this is the average. However, the age of menopause can vary. Now most women reach menopause between the ages of 45 and 55, but it can occur as early as 30 years to 40 years old. Although there is that chance it may not occur until a woman reaches her 60’s.

Perhaps this video will answer some of your questions of the age of menopause and when does it happen. Watch the video.

Bleeding after Menopause-When do I need to go to my doctor?

First off, ask yourself if you have gone without a period for more than one year?

Here is something to keep in mind if you are experiencing a little spotting that may require you to wear a panty shield, it is not normal after menopause. Since it is not then you must make an appointment to see your doctor right away. There are many common causes for bleeding after menopause. Here are a few common ones:
  1. Polyps
  2. Endometrial atrophy (thinning of the endometrium)
  3. Endometrial hyperplasia
  4. Endometrial cancer ( uterine cancer)
  5. D & C (dilation and curettage)

There are many others. Please refer to http://webmd.com for more detailed information.

You can experience bleeding off and on during menopause (perimenopause) which is normal. but bleeding afterwards is not. You should not ignore it even if it is light. The importance of telling your doctor is key. There is always that chance that the cause of the bleeding is something minor. But then there is also that chance that cancer may have a part in it.

Watch this video that will explain in great detail of bleeding after menopause and knowing the reason why and when need to see your doctor.

Menopause and Hot Flashes-I got stiffness in my feet

Since I am full blown menopause there has been a lot of changes in my body. I am speaking about my feet and toes. I remember in my younger years I had “pretty feet”. I would always keep a pedicure on them weekly. I would always wear shoes in the summer months that would show off my toes and feet. Because I have an average size foot (size 7) some shoes would make my feet appear to look a little smaller.

What did I do to stop the pain?

That was then, now when I wake up in the morning stepping out of the bed my feet are stiff as a board and this feeling would  last for about 2-3 minutes. I don’t know if my circulation is off or what. As I am waiting for the relief of the stiffness I makes strong attempts to flex my feet back and forth, and as I do this for about 5-10 minutes then I start to feel the stiffness loosening up. Then I am able to stand up and walk on my feet. I found that doing this every morning has caused me to have less stiffness and I don’t have to do the flexing as long.

One thing about menopause, you are forced to get into doing a lot of stuff with your body to relieve yourself of being uncomfortable.

Watch this video to give you some more insight with your foot problems with menopause.
