Abnormal Bleeding-Bleeding after menopause

"I can't believe it"
Let me jump right into it about the after effects of menopause. Just when you think it is over here comes a scare to you. Experiencing abnormal bleeding. This is the last thing that you expect to happen!

I was speaking with a dear friend of mine and she was at an event, she suddenly found herself going to the rest room a number of times during the event. Only to discover that she was bleeding and heavily. She was in just shock of it all! This was something that totally caught her off guard. Not only that she was upset and bothered by the unexpected abnormal bleeding. She just knew she was over having any form of menstrual periods and on top of that to see that it was going very heavy and steady. Overall it was very unsettling because it occurred years after the uterus and ovaries was out of commission. Also she had no longer use of any sanitary products. That thought was crazy too!

Some related information on this topic.

When does Menopause Stop?

This is a question that many women want to know. Here is a basic time frame of when it all takes place. Most women, according to the North American Menopause Society, reach natural menopause between the ages of 40 and 58. The average age is 51. Then there is an unusual age for women to reach menopause as early as 30. However, in my case it was age 23. The symptoms are the same in any age range. To answer the question is that menopause last a different length of time for each woman. Because menopause experience is unique for each woman. Then there are woman who NEVER go through the experience of menopause.

While abnormal bleeding can be very overwhelming when you notice and realize that the bleeding has come at an unusual time and in an abnormal way DON'T wait to go to the doctors. Head straight to the emergency room. DON'T  think that you know when the bleeding is going to stop. DON'T make no excuses for not seeing your gynecologist.

My closing words to you are that this can be a serious matter but you will need to take immediate action.
